When I started Beyond, I kept thinking about the families I had worked with who drove across Chennai to piece together a speech session here, an OT session there, and still felt lost. They were exhausted before the day even started.
I wanted to build a place that felt like a real partner, where a child could be assessed, begin therapy, and access schooling without their parents navigating three different buildings and four different appointment systems.
More than anything, I wanted it to feel warm. Children can tell when they're somewhere that sees them as a diagnosis versus a place that actually sees them. At Beyond, we try to be the second kind.
